THE STORY BEHIND THIS PIECE

One of the first maps of the world, based on Aggripa’s vision: Orbis Terrarum.

The piece shows how the Romans depicted the world based on literature from travellers, traders, and scientists from all over the world to plan for the Roman empire.

Many people tried to map the world, and Agrippa was one of the scientists to create an early version. Containing many inaccuracies, but setting the foundation for future scientists to build upon.
